The Message

The central message of the bible is the gospel, which means ‘good news’.  Click below for a presentation that shows how unique christianity is to every religion in the world.

The Uniqueness of Christianity (by J.B. Nicholson)

Our Problem and God’s Answer

God is holy (1 Peter 1:16) and God is love (1 John 4:8). His holiness demands that our sin be punished in full. His love has provided a way for us to be saved from this punishment by being forgiven from our sins and made right with God. What is this way of salvation that He has provided? It is neither a religion, nor a set of values to live up to, nor a set of good works to perform. Salvation is found in a Person, the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 13:38). God’s Son suffered and died on a cross outside Jerusalem to pay the ransom price for sinners (1 Tim 2:6), making forgiveness and salvation possible for you and me. He rose again the third day and today He is a living Saviour, in fact, He is the only Saviour.

When a person recognises their own sinfulness and turns from that sin (repentance – Acts 20:21), trusting in the Saviour for the forgiveness of sins (faith – Acts 20:21) they are born again (John 3:7). This life changing experience brings a person into a new relationship with God and Christ, and changes their life, their desires, their habits, their everything (2 Corinthians 5:17).

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
